Synopsis:
Picnic (spring of 1999)
Young-ho, a mid-aged man who lost his dream, ambition, love and
others. He visits the place where he went picnic with his first
lover 20 years ago. The 20 years took everything from him...
Camera (3 days ago, spring of 1999)
Young-ho, 40, is a man who gets swindled by his colleague and divorced.
He is discouraged and finally tries to kill himself with a pistol.
But a stranger calls on him one day to let him meet his first lover,
Soon-im...
Life is beautiful (summer of 1994)
Young-ho, 35, is president of a furniture store. He has affairs
with a clerk woman in his store, Lee, while his wife, Hong-ja, has
affairs with her driving instructor... One day Young-ho comes across
the man who he tortured on the rack when he was a detective... Confession
(April 1987) - Young-ho, a detective, is tired of his daily routine.
Hong-ja is expecting for his baby, but his mind is filled with thoughts
of Soon-im. He misses her so much that he is crying out in the bosom
of a waitress today...
Prayer (fall of 1984)
Young-ho, a newcomer detective, comes to be changed little by little
as he is used to his seniors' violent behavior and his own potential
violence in his heart. Accordingly he rejects an innocent girl,
Soon-im, like refusing his innocence, but accepts Hong-ja who has
loved him alone...
Visiting camp (May 1980)
Yong-ho, a recruit, happens to see Soon-im who visits him in vain
to his camp turning back. Noises and whistles around him make his
calling out for her too unclear to be heard by her. He gets on a
military truck, seeing her back...
Picnic (fall of 1979)
Both Young-ho and Soon-im are 20. They taste the joys of pure love
for the first time in their lives. Young-ho likes the peppermint
candy that she gives him, thinking it is the most delicious thing
in the world. Youthfulness is beautiful, and life is beautiful,
too... This was a day of fall in 1979 twenty years ago. |
